Forest Crop Law files[microform], 1928-1985.

Copies of records generated by a program established in 1928 in which land owners could apply for forest cropland status for their land and agree to maintain the land under forest guidelines in return for lower taxes. Files include orders of approval and dismissal from the program, acreage ledgers of land held by individuals, records of program land under county ownership, severance tax ledgers, and records of payments made by the state for towns and counties for forest croplands. The forest crop program was terminated in 1985.
